In its constant strive to reach a wider audience, the ACC has established a presence on Facebook, the online social networking site that connects people together to share and exchange ideas, photos and videos. The ACC intends to use this medium to share information about its activities and to receive feedback from the community.
Facebook is a recent phenomenon on the Internet that is very popular among teenagers and young adults. It is hoped that the two-way communication afforded by this medium will go a long way toward bringing the ACC closer to this elusive demographic.
“Given its popularity among the younger generation, we feel it is a critical medium to enable us reach our youths,” explains ACC president, Paul Ayah. “The wide reach of this medium will also enable the ACC to reach an audience well beyond our Canadian frontiers,” continues Paul Ayah.
